Relate Dorset Free Family Counselling For Armed Forces Veterans Across Dorset

Together with The Royal British Legion, Relate Dorset is able to offer relationship counselling or family counselling to anyone who has served at least 7 days in the armed forces of the United Kingdom and their families. The most at risk group are those who are troubled by the transition into life as a civilian. This is not always a smooth journey; indicators such as depression, stress and isolation manifest themselves at this time and directly impact family life. Relate support the work of DHUFT Armed Forces Community Health & Wellbeing Team through the Armed Forces Charter and with NHS Transition, Intervention and Liaison (TIL) mental health service.
