Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer

Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
Provision for SEND pupils is overseen by the Special Needs Coordinator (Ms. F. Harrell SENCO). The SENCO is part of the Senior Leadership team which ensures that special needs has a high profile in the school. Where a pupil has a Statement or EHCP, the SENCO will meet at least annually to agree an Action Plan for the forthcoming year. Where a pupil has a specific intervention, the adult responsible for delivering the programme will establish the objectives which can be shared with parents/carer and other staff working with the pupil as appropriate. The progress of SEND pupils and interventions are closely monitored and the SENCO reports to governors at Full Governors' meetings. The SENCO also works closely with the SEND governor who is updated at regular meetings.
