A triage system at the front door may re-direct suitable patients to the urgent care service to be seen by GP. We cover Hampshire and Dorset and non local holiday makers.

The Accident and Emergency Department at Royal Bournemouth Hospital covers the county and surrounding areas. The hospital open all year and has a dedicated waiting area and treatment areas for young people. If your condition is not thought to be life-threatening please dial 111 for advice on the most appropriate course of treatment. We offer advice leaflets in multiple languages for self care and safety netting.

Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
All nursing staff have Child Safeguarding Level 2 training. Senior nursing staff and Nurse Practitioners have Child Safeguarding Level 3. All nursing staff have Paediatric Intermediate Life Support (PILS) training. Senior nursing have European Intermediate Life Support training.
