Mrs Paula Goddard
I have been childminding for over 22 years. I offer a warm, secure and stimulating environment where children feel happy and confident in their surroundings. I take children to the library, to the park, to feed the ducks and to soft play areas. I have completed my NVQ3 in Childcare.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer
- Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
I have been Childminding for 22 years and in that time I have gained a great deal of experience looking after children of different ages/genders/needs, whilst bringing up my own three children. All children are welcome in my setting and I aim to provide a loving and caring environment. The children are observed in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage Criteria and I carry out a two year old development check to highlight any problem areas, so I can discuss next steps with the parents. I work alone and give your child continuous care, which helps to build confidence and self-esteem, making the child feel secure both emotionally and physically. I communicate with parents daily answering questions and offering reassurance and next steps as needed. As each child is unique, I allow them time/activities to explore and investigate, with support I extend the learning experience. Observations are then made and this helps to highlight any areas that may need to be focused on. I am first aid trained and hold a NVQ 3. I undertake other training to keep my knowledge updated. I work from home in a detached house and have access through the front door with a high step. I have no wheelchair access. The ground floor and garden of my house are used for Childminding and I have downstairs toilet facilities. I have a secure enclosed garden for outside play and am close to park/shop/preschool and Parrett and Axe primary school.
