Autism Wessex - Information And Advice (Advocacy Services)

Our Advocacy Services team offers free information and unbiased advice to anyone affected by autism. We run drop-in groups, benefits workshops and autism training programmes to parents and professionals. We work with local organisations to raise autism awareness and advise on autism friendly environments. We also issue Autism Alert Cards to people diagnosed with autism in Bournemouth, Christchurch, Poole and Dorset.

Formerly known as The Wessex Autistic Society (TWAS). The service receives enquiries from carers and individuals affected by autism, as well as from medical, education and social welfare professionals. We respond promptly to requests for information about a wide range of issues that affect families and people with autism. Call to make a face to face appointment at a convenient location to you.

Self referral. A Referral Form must be completed and this is available by contacting the service.
