Dorset Mind Your Head Counselling

We provide a free one to one counselling service for anyone between the ages of 11 to 24 at the Dorchester Volunteer Centre every Wednesday during term time at 2pm to 4.30pm, The Centre in Ferndown on Wednesdays at 4pm to 6.30pm and Somerford Arc in Christchurch on Mondays at 4pm to 6.30pm. Our counselling sessions last for 40 minutes each week for up to 6 weeks. At the first session, the counsellor will complete an assessment with you and talk you through the counselling agreement. The time is then yours to discuss whatever is on your mind. Counselling is a confidential and neutral service that can help you talk things through and support you without making you feel judged. This can really make a positive difference to your life and the way you feel about it.

Additional Information
Our counsellors are trained professionals who’s primary concern is to support young people's emotional wellbeing. This can be really helpful when faced with issues such depression, anxiety, bereavement, bullying, anger, relationships, low self-esteem, eating disorders and self-harm. Service available all year.
