Yeatman Hospital - Minor Injury Unit

Yeatman Hospital Minor Injury Unit (MIU) is a nurse-led unit that can offer a variety of services to the residents of, and visitors to, Sherborne and surrounding areas. You do not need to make an appointment, and patients are seen in order of clinical priority. Children and the elderly are often prioritised as urgent because of their specific needs. Some example of the type of minor injury and ailment treated include sprains, strains, minor wounds, minor fractures, bites, stings and burns.

Additional Information
We are closed for 30 minutes for lunch and our last consultation time 30 minutes before closing time. We are open all year, but closed on Christmas day. Anyone accessing our service would be helpful in letting us know any current medication they are taking. Often the team will refer you on to A&E if your condition cannot be managed at MIU; or some times they will refer you direct to a specialist if appropriate.
