Summertime Nursery & Preschool

Coronavirus status: open

Children's care and nurturing is paramount in the setting, we believe if a child feels safe and happy they will learn and thrive. By gently supporting their natural development they will reach their full potential at their own pace. We provide stimulating and challenging experiences so that children can develop their interests indoors and outdoors using natural resources. Our staff, are well qualified, experienced and professional. The nursery is small enough to offer that all important family feel but big enough to offer a full range of experiences.

Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer

Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities

Some children will join the nursery with an unrecognised and undiagnosed special educational need, we will work together with parents to ensure these needs are identified and that each child is provided with support by the appropriate specialist agencies. We are often the first people to have close contact with a child besides the family, and we will listen and support parents through their child’s special educational learning. We welcome children with special educational needs and disabilities. Your child will be supported and encouraged by the nursery and where necessary outside agencies such as speech therapists, portage or occupational health. Summertime Nursery provides an inclusive environment and uses differentiation so that all children can learn and develop at their own pace. We value each child’s unique strengths and challenge them to fulfil their learning potential through tailored activities.
