Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer

Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities

At Hillside we provide our children with exciting and varied activities in order that they receive the highest quality education regardless of their differences (e.g. age, race, ethnic beliefs, special needs or disability). We have hard working and caring teachers who are committed to the inclusion of those children recognised as having Special Educational Needs or Disabilities. Activities and tasks that the children take part in are chosen carefully and tailored to fit individual children’s needs. Hillside is a highly inclusive school and has a good reputation as such within the community and with outside agencies. Ofsted 2016: “Parents particularly appreciate the high quality support that the special educational needs teacher provides and cite the very positive impact of this support and intervention on their children's learning. This is a highly inclusive and friendly school where every child is valued and supported to achieve well.” For detailed information on our SEND provision, please follow the link below to our website and view our SEN Information Report.
