Special Educational Needs and Disabilities Local Offer
- Support for children and young people with SEN and disabilities
At Allsorts First Steps, we strive to provide a fully inclusive environment which meets all the needs of all children including those with SEND. We have a fully qualified SENDCO in our setting with a wide range of experience and they will work closely with you and your child. Your keyworker will work closely with you and the SENDCO ensuring that your child is accessing all areas of EYFS and they will help plan your child’s next steps and targets, always keeping in mind your child’s interests and abilities while observing and assessing your child’s development. Our SENDCO Susie Pinney and all other staff hold paediatric first aid, safeguarding, health and safety and have undertaken a wide range of SEND courses. We are always happy to undertake further training to support your child. We have strong links with outside agencies such as Portage, Health visitors, Paediatrician, Educational Psychologists and Speech and Language and we may be able to apply for additional funding which can be used to support your child in a variety of ways such as 1-1 workers. Overall, we will do whatever we can to treat your child inclusively and provide a safe and fun place to learn and grow. Please do not hesitate to contact for more information.
