The project has specific emphasis on working with new age traveller families in Dorset & Somerset. The project provides a mobile play service to children and young people on unauthorised sites. We provide advocacy on behalf of Traveller families on a variety of issues such as eviction, housing, health and education and access to other services. The Project consults with Traveller children organisations. The Project helps Traveller children and Young People to participate in decision making that affects them, including helping them to participate in the Planning process. The Children's Fund worker supports children with issues such as bullying, lack of access to services, trouble with the law or other issues that affect their lives. We also provide individual support for young Travellers age 13 to 20. The project also provides training on Traveller issues for other organisations.
