Behaviour Support Service - Dorset Council

We generally work within school settings offering advice, support and training in promoting positive behavioural, emotional and social development, supporting social, emotional and mental health (SEMH) needs and effective behaviour management. We provide training and share good practice recognising the link between good teaching and learning and an emotionally healthy school. We provide initial assessments for children, create action plans and provide ongoing support and advice. If appropriate we will help facilitate referral for further assessment or involvement of other professionals and access to support through a multi-agency approach. We also offer support and advice through the health and care plan (EHCP) process.
