Huntington's Disease is a hereditary disorder of the central nervous system. Each child of an affected parent has a 50% chance of inheriting the faulty gene and developing the disease. Juvenile H.D is very rare but anxieties of the families are understandable. The regional care advisor can listen, advise and support families and professionals and if necessary refer to the National Juvenile Care Advisor.
